Dear Valued Customer:

First National Bank of Hebbronville is pleased to present your new EMV Debit MasterCard®. It replaces your existing debit card, and it’s even better!

The new (EMV Debit MasterCard®) chip cards will be issued and mailed to you soon. If you have any questions please contact us at 361-527-3221.

 

Your First National Bank of Hebbronville EMV Debit MasterCard®…

• Every transaction is safer
With a chip card, a unique code is generated with every transaction. That makes it virtually impossible for thieves to steal your data or create a counterfeit card. You’re protected!

 

• Use your same PIN
You will use a Personal Identification Number, or PIN, for verification with the new card. You can continue to use the same PIN, or you can select a new one. Sometimes, you may be asked for your signature. If the transaction amount is low, you may not have to do either.

 

• Travel with ease
Your new chip card meets the highest global standards for security. Chip cards are accepted in 80+ countries worldwide, so it will be easier to make purchases when traveling internationally. 

 

• Is not a credit card

Don’t worry about interest rates and finance charges.  Purchases made using this card are deducted directly from your checking account and detailed on your monthly checking account statement.
 

• Has an EMV Chip inside of it
Just insert the card into the card reader for advanced protection against fraud.  If the merchant is not set up to use EMV Chips, just swipe the card like normal.

 
To activate your card, simply follow the activation instructions on the sticker located on the front of the new card.  
If you currently have pre-authorized automatic debit transactions using your old debit card, you will need to submit your NEW debit card information to the originator to take effect as soon as your new EMV Debit MasterCard®.
